About Us

Since the establishment of the Institute (UNIPRESS) in 1972, its founder and director, Professor Sylwester Porowski, paid special attention to the development of high-pressure technology. At the beginning, it was equipment for high pressure studies in solid state physics, necessary for the research conducted at the Institute.

In 1992, Jacek Arabas founded UNIPRESS EQUIPMENT (division of UNIPRESS) and as a manager he started a new era at the Institute in the development of high-pressure technology for science and innovation. Subsequently, activity has been expanded to include research equipment in chemistry and food science.

In scientific research, it is assumed that high pressure domain starts above thousand bars (0.1 GPa). High-pressure equipment for scientific research should provide not only safe operation in the required extreme conditions of pressure, temperature, magnetic field, but also access to the interior of the high-pressure chamber, e.g., of electromagnetic radiation, electric current, and various sensors. To achieve our criteria of shaping and designing structures we use modern methods, modern engineering materials, specific technical infrastructures as well as knowledge accumulated over the years.

Our team

UNIPRESS EQUIPMENT is created by a group of engineers – specialists in 3-D design, strength analysis, production supervision, assembly as well as sales, commissioning and after-sales service.
