Essential Features :
Clamped cells have been developed for physical experiments where cells are clamped after they are pressurized by applying force and can be placed in various set-ups after removing from the press. Hydraulic press LCP20 with force 200kN is required for all Clamped cells as source of pressure. Depending on application we offer four types of Clamped cells for: electrical measurements, optical and magneto-optical measurements, universal measurements (electrical and optical) and dielectric measurements. For measurements the Clamped cells can be provided with electrical feed-through, sapphire optical window, sample holder and pressure gauge (semiconductor SPG10 or Manganin MPG10). Electrical feed-throughs are available either in measuring type-Warsaw’s type (12 wires) or current type (1 wire).

LC10 with I.D. 7 mm is the most common liquid cell for semiconductor studies.
Sample holders:
Depending on the type of magnet (classical or superconductive) and magnetic field configuration, we offer three types of sample holders. Two of them are suitable for coaxial and perpendicular position of the sample in regards to longitudinal axis of the pressure cell and the third one is universal with exchangeable sample support.

2. Optical measurements (plug with sapphire window and piston with sample holder).

Pressure measurements:
Pressure inside the cell is calculated based on pressure in the press and cross-sectional ratio between the piston of press and the piston of cell. For accurate pressure measurement we use Manganin gauge for calibration.
Temperature measurements:
Cells are equipped with thermostatic external jacket. Temperature inside the cell is evaluated by temperature measurements of the thermostatic medium.
Pressure source:
For better control of temperature and pressure inside the cell, it is necessary to keep the cell inside a temperature test cabinet and supply pressure externally from a pump such as Micropump MP series. The unit is equipped with a specially developed miniature hydraulic actuator which substitutes a hydraulic press.
