Essential Features :

Piston-cylinder reactor U101 has been developed to carry out study inorganic, organic and biological reactions in solution under high pressure at room temperature as well as at elevated temperature. U101 is a laboratory scale table top set-up and it consists of a high pressure vessel type LV30, a hydraulic press type LVP30 and a portable oil pressure generator U3.

The high pressure chamber is piston-cylinder (compound) type. The pressure is generated by a three-column hydraulic press. The press is equipped with mechanism for easy sliding in and out the chamber.

Sample cell :

Teflon Ampules

Special ampules are designed as sample cells. The material of the ampule, Teflon and rubber o-rings, allows the ampules to be used for various chemical solvents such as chloroform, ethyl, ethyl chloride. Thanks to their special construction (thin walls) the ampules are especially suitable for pressure investigation. It is possible to use multiple sample cells (volume 1mL to 10mL) in one pressure cycle.

The oil pressure in the press is generated by unit U3 which is driven by an electric motor controlled by frequency inverter. To prevent excessive pressure build up in the reactor, U3 is equipped with safety valves. It is also equipped with pressure transducer and display panel with controller for pressure setting and limiting.
