Essential Features :

The Microscopic cell was originally developed for in-situ observation of biological materials and ice crystals under optical microscope at high pressure. Later it was proven to be useful to carry out also high pressure studies of soft matter such as liquid crystals. This miniature high pressure cell with electronic temperature control (TEC elements) and pressure control (MP series), with high precision, allows optical observation under any load-path.

The pressure cell is equipped with a temperature control system based on TEC (Peltier) elements, assembled at the lateral walls of the cell body.
